The remains of 16-year-old Grace Tagbor was found deposited at a farm in Asirifikrom of the Ashanti Region.
The JHS 1 student known to many as Mawusi is said to have left for the farm after returning from school on Monday. However, she never returned home.
In a report filed by AdomNews correspondent, Isaac K. Normanyo, Grace Tagbor was found motionless on Tuesday morning by a resident in the community.
According to reports, multiple wounds were inflicted on the teenager. Parts of the victim's head had been slashed, her little finger had been chopped off and had also sustained several injuries on the hands, back and legs.
A unit committee member, Grace Duor recounted the gory scene.
“When I got here, I saw the child has lying on the ground with her face on the ground. So we noticed parts of her head had been taken off. It has been cut three times. She suffered four injuries to her hands. Her little finger was also missing. They also injured her back.”
She also noted that the victim may have been sexually assaulted before she was murdered.
“The time the Inspector told us to lift her outfit to find out if anything else was missing, we noticed a whitish fluid oozing from her reproductive organ so we believe she may have been raped,” she narrated.
The father of the deceased in an interview expressed shock and immense sorrow over the death of his daughter.
He stated that the death of his third child was communicated to him via phone.
“I am very disturbed. I saw her on Sunday when I came...It has never happened in Asirifikrom that such an act, a gruesome murder would ever take place. So how could this happen to my family,” he bemoaned.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased is in the custody of the Adubiase Police for investigation.
