Young Ghanaian actor Abraham Attah has gained admission to Tufts University in Massachusetts in the United States of America (USA).
The actor shared the news with fans and followers on Instagram with a photo of himself on a track field.
“I’m beyond excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Tufts University!”
“I want to thank my family, coaches, friends, teammates, and everyone that helped me through this process #gojumbos,” he wrote.
Abraham Atta first moved to the USA after scoring a scholarship with the movie streaming service Netflix in 2016.
The actor was awarded the scholarship after he went viral for his role in the movie Beast of No Nation.
Abraham Attah received 13 award nominations for his performance in the movie.
He earned five awards for his performance in the film, including the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival 2015, and ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Black Film Critics Circle (BFCC).
He has also starred in other movies including Spiderman Homecoming and ‘Out of the Village’ which was directed by Jonathan Stein.
