A 20-year-old herdsman, Ibrahim Lobbol has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing an Infinix mobile phone.
He was charged with stealing and pleaded guilty to the offense.
The court presided over by Andrew Prince Cudjoe in his judgment said the judgement is to serve as a deterrence to other youth in Tuna who are fond of stealing.
The prosecutor in this case, Chief Inspector, Abdulai Awuni in his statement said, the accuse stole the phone from the complainant’s house in Tuna and went to sell it at Gh₵80.00.
The complainant who reported that his phone had been stolen.
The defendant was however caught when he attempted to sell the phone to a friend.
He was arrested and handed over to the Tuna police at about 5:46pm.
