The Black Stars ended their qualifying campaign on a high with a 3-1 victory over Sao Tome and Principe.
Nicholas Opoku and Jordan Ayew found the net in the first half with Baba Rahman finishing things off with a goal of his own in the second half. A howler from Razak Abalora gifted Fernandes Carvalho a goal late in the game.
The result means that Ghana top Group C with 13 points and their opponents finish the campaign without a single point.
Here is how we rated the players:
Razak Abalora-2.5
He did not have much to do in this match. The team were dominant from start to finish. He, however, gifted Sao Tome a goal late in the game.
Benson Anang-4.5
He bombed forward on a few occasions but was barely involved in the attacking phase of the Black Stars. It was no surprise as Ghana favored the left side most of the time.
Ismail Ganiyu-4
The Asante Kotoko man held his own at the back albeit Sao Tome and Principe did not trouble him as much as his previous opponents. He did however, give the ball away in a dangerous position on one occasion.
Nicholas Opoku-6
He got his first goal for the Black Stars, rising highest to meet a corner. He did better defensively in this one as compared to his previous outing.
Abdul Baba Rahman-6
The PAOK man showed willingness to attack from the start of the game. His adventurous plan resulted in a goal. An improved performance as compared to the previous outing.
Thomas Partey-4
The Arsenal man uncharacteristically lost a number of balls to the opposition. He was however, involved in the side's attacking play on a few occasions.
Mubarak Wakaso-4.5
He was mostly anonymous on the defensive end and struggled to dispossess his opponents when called upon. The free agent was a bit better offensively, finding his teammates with precise long balls.
Osman Bukari-4
The KAA Gent man was really lively in this match. He constantly asked questions of the Sao Tome and Principe defense with his direct running and dribbling. However, his decision making was poor.
Andre Ayew-5.5
The Swansea City star was also quite involved in this game. He was constantly moving around, finding pockets of space for his teammates to exploit.
Mohammed Kudus-7.0
Apart from the two assists to, Mohammed Kudus was excellent. The Ajax midfielder put his creative and dribbling skills on display. He was truly a meance for Sao Tome and Principe.
Jordan Ayew-6.5
The Crystal Palace man has struggled with his club this season. But, he showed his quality in this match. The 29-year-old constantly moved around the defenders. He eventually earned a penalty and scored as well.
Gladson Awako-4.5
He tried to affect the game early with an acrobatic attempt. He was relatively quiet after that.
Kwasi Okyere Wreidt-2
The finishing of the Willem II man was poor after coming on for Jordan Ayew.
