Young Ghana goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has joined King Faisal on loan until the end of the season from Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.
King Faisal announced the deal on Thursday, March 18, the deadline day of the second transfer window of the 2020/21 season.
"We have agreed a loan deal with Asante Kotoko SC for goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim. The young goalkeeper joins us until the end of the season," the Kumasi-based club tweeted.
Danlad was tipped to leave Kotoko after excelling at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament in Mauritania. He was adjudged the best goalkeeper after Ghana lifted the trophy.
At Kotoko, Danlad is the fourth choice goalkeeper. He falls behind Razak Abalora, Felix Annan and Kwame Baah who are all more experienced.
He played for Berekum Chelsea in the cancelled 2019/20 season.
Currently, the goalkeeper is in the Black Stars camp getting ready for the Afcon qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
