Time is ticking as deadline hour inches ever closer in the Ghana Premier League.
The transfer window, which opened on February 16 provided clubs the opportunity to register players for the second round of the season.
So far, a number of teams have bolstered their squads with some big name transfers including Salifu Ibrahim, Michael Vinicius, Hans, Kwofie, Caleb Amankwah, James Akaminko, Prince Opoku Agyemang, Amos Frimpong and the like.
With the transfer window set to shut on 11:59pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021, here are four players who could move by the end of deadline day.
Kwame Peprah – King Faisal
Kwame Peprah has been at the center of attraction this window. The King Faisal marksman has been linked to several top Ghana Premier League clubs.
Dreams FC, Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities are all reported to have enquired about the forward. All four clubs are willing to pay between $15,000 to $25,000 for Peprah.
Bankroller of King Faisal, Alhaji Grunsah has emphatically stated several times that Peprah cannot be sold otherwise it’ll be equivalent to his side purchasing a visa to relegation.
Peprah has scored 9 goals this season and has been rewarded with a Black Stars call-up after his imperious performances in the first round.
It’s no secret King Faisal need money and at the right price, Peprah could possibly be sold before the window shuts.
Ibrahim Danlad – Asante Kotoko
Off the back of an impressive performance the just ended U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania, Ibrahim Danlad could be on his way out of Asante Kotoko.
The best goalkeeper of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations is currently the fourth choice keeper at the Porcupine Warriors.
He falls behind Razak Abalora, Felix Annan and Kwame Baah who are all more experienced.
It’s reported that Danlad could return Berekum Chelsea, a side he spent the 2019/20 season with on loan.
Currently, the goalkeeper is in the Black Stars camp getting ready for the qualifiers but don’t rule out a possible transfer.
Justice Blay – Medeama SC
The tale of Medeama, Justice Blay and Asante Kotoko never seems to conclude. A topic that resurfaces every window has once again been the highlight in the past few weeks.
Many Kotoko fans have been calling for Blay after being left unimpressed by the performances of their midfielders this season.
Medeama continue to play hard ball and are asking for a fee in the region of $50,000 plus 50% of any onward transfer fee.
Blay impressed during his loan spell with the Porcupine Warriors in the 2019/20 season and don’t be surprised to see Kotoko go all the way to secure the services of the midfielder before the deadline.
Moro Salifu – Bechem United
Moro Salifu has been one of the sensations of the first round of the Ghana Premier League first round.
His six goals make him Bechem United’s top scorer so far. His impressive outings have earned him a call up to the Black Stars and has also caught the eye of many clubs.
Clubs such as Hearts and Kotoko have been keeping tabs. However, Legon Cities have expressed the most concrete interest.
The Royals have been on a signing spree and would love to improve their midfield by adding Salifu.
Bechem United have informed all suitors that Salifu would only leave for the right price which could be triggered by Legon Cities before the window shuts.
