Owner of Nana Saka Nkansah II Orphanage and School located at Ashanti Mampong in the Ashanti region, Nana Agyeiwaa Kodie is calling on well-meaning Ghanaians both home and abroad to come to her aid in other to take care of about 30 Orphans she is currently taking care of.
She made the call when Zoomlion Foundation donated bags of rice, a cartoon of oil, toiletries, Veronica Buckets, waste bins, washing bowls, and exercise books to the orphanage and the school at Ashanti Mampong.
Thomas N. Korley, who lead the delegation from Zoomlion Foundation to make the presentation, said his outfit has the interests of children especially in the area of sanitation and hygiene hence the donation to ensure that the children remain in a serene environment.
According to him, the Zoomlion Foundation has been in the for front of championing good hygiene and sanitation practices among school children and will do all it can to ensure that the right Sanitation and Hygiene facilities are available to the students to learn under a sound conducive environment.
Owner of Nana Saka Nkansah II Orphanage and school couldn’t hide her joy after receiving the donations, thanked Zoomlion Foundation for the organization’s kind gesture.
According to her, her aim for the children at the orphanage is for them to become engineers, and other tradesmen thus her appeal for technical, vocational materials, and financial support.
According to Nana Kodie, her major supporter in terms of finances and material support, His Excellency Former President John Agyekum Kufour is not forthcoming as it used to be.
After the donations, Zoomkids Club Project was launched in the Mampong Municipality with a twenty-member student team and two teachers.
The new club members will be guided by the Zoomlion District Manager, Clement Aboagye to begin citywide source separation of plastic waste.
The vision for the project is to increase awareness on recycling among school children.
