Ghana is set to receive her first batch of the novel coronavirus vaccines Wednesday, February 24, as communicated by the Minister-Designate for Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu.

The country is expected to unload a total of 2.4 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine licensed to the Serum Institute of India (AZ/SII).

Tonight on PM: Express, Ayisha Ibrahim and her panel of experts assess the country's readiness to join many other countries in administering the product as part of measures to curb Covid-19's spread.

Guess includes, an Immunologist and Research Fellow, West Africa Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens, University of Ghana, Dr Yaw Bediako; Leader of Global Health and Infectious Diseases Research Group at KCCR and Lecturer, Global Health Department, KNUST, Dr John Amuasi.

Also, a Clinical Microbiologist and Research Fellow at KCCR and Lecturer at the Department of Medical Diagnostics, KNUST, Dr Michael Owusu and Senior Public Health Physician, Ghana Health Service, Dr Kwame Amponsah Achiano.
