Ghana picked up a point in their second group game at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations as they played out a goalless draw against Morocco on Friday evening.
The Lions of the Atlas started the game brightly and could have gone ahead early on.
A mistake by Philomon Baffour and Nathaniel Adjei left Morocco with a promising opportunity but the resulting effort missed the target.
In the 26th minute, Ghana were awarded a free-kick from long range. Percious Boah took the set-piece well, forcing Bellaarouch into making a good stop.
The scales were tipped in Morocco's favour in the second half. They created numerous opportunities but the woodwork and finishing were their worst enemies.
The Black Satellites created one promising chance in the second half.
Mohammed Sulemana after finding some space in a dangerous position tried his luck from distance but the ball narrowly missed the target.
Karim Zito's men remain top of Group C with four points and Morocco, with the same points, are second due to an inferior goal difference.
Ghana will face The Gambia in their final group game on Monday. They will need at least a draw to ensure qualification to the quarterfinals.
