Parliament's Appointments Committee will on Friday vet Food and Agriculture Minister-designate and Science, Technology and Innovation Minister-designate.
Day 8 of ministerial vetting will see Dr Kwaku Afriyie and Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto appear before the Appointments Committee.
Both nominees are to brief the Committee on actions they will undertake to assist the second administration of President Akufo-Addo in their respective ministries should they be given the mandate.
Dr Kwaku Afriyie will be leaving the Ministry of State Interests and Governance Authority while Dr Owusu Akoto Afriyie is praying to be retained as the Food and Agriculture Minister.
Sixteen ministerial appointees have so far been vetted by the Appointments Committee.
Mavis Hawa Koomson and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah took their turn on Thursday to discuss their plans for their designated ministries.
Out of the 16 vetted nominees so far, Minister-designate for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Adwoa Safo has had the shortest duration, about an hour with the Committee.
List of the 13 other nominees includes Minister-designate for Health Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, National Security Minister-designate Albert Kan Dapaah, Minister-designate for Defence, Dominic Nitiwul, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister-designate for Education and Minister-designate for Local Government, Decentralisation & Rural Development, Dan Botwe.
Minister-designate for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Attorney-General and Minister-designate for Justice, Godfred Dame, Minister-designate for Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Communications and Digitisation Minister-designate Ursula Owusu-Ekuful and Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs.
Labour Relations Minister-designate, Baffour Awuah, Interior Minister-designate Ambrose Dery and Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, Amoako Atta.
Meanwhile, the vetting process is expected to end on March 9, 2021.
