Hearts of Oak head coach, Kosta Papic has resigned after two months into the job.
Papic decided to leave his role following disagreements with the board of the club last week.
His departure is expected to be made public within the next 48 hours.
Goalkeeper's trainer, Ben Owu also resigned citing personal reasons.
These departures join that of Asare Bediako, an assistant coach who resigned about two weeks ago.
Prior to accepting the head coach role at Hearts of Oak, the 60-year-old had an impending offer from Azam FC in Tanzania.
Joy sports sources say, he accepted the Hearts job as a 'stop-gap' one to keep himself busy whilst awaiting the offer from Azam FC, where preliminary discussions were positive.
The offer from Azam FC, however, delayed influencing his decision to return to the Oak tree for a second tenure.
It is unclear if he has received the offer, but what we know is that, there was a meeting with the board which ended in disagreements over his questionning of their understanding of football.
This, the board members did not take lightly. Another meeting on Monday could not convince Papic to stay on, and sources have told Joy Sports he has resigned.
It appears the relationship with the Phobians was always not going to last as his first meeting with the leadership saw only three people in attendance.
Many board members including the Chief Executive Officer, Frederick Moore who later resigned were unaware of his appointment.
Joy Sports were made to understand that the CEO was not in the known because, he had gone AWOL for three weeks. When the leadership of club finally got in touch with him, Moore said he was suffering from diarrhoea which explained why he left his duty post unceremoniously.
Vincent Sowah Odotei who led Papic to introduce him to the team, was accused of working his way to the limelight of the club after a failed political career which angered many.
We are also made to understand that when Papic met Hearts of Oak after his appointment was confirmed, he requested for a technical department to scout opponents which was going to be manned by Faisal Chibsah, younger brother of Yussif Chibsah but Odotei said the club needed a 'video editor to upload videos on YouTube.'
It is alleged Kosta Papic questioned the club's understanding of modern-day football. He, however, decided to work despite the lack of technical support from the club. In fact, he encouraged Faisal to accept the role offered him, but Faisal was reluctant.
He was also alleged to be unhappy with a $4,000 per month salary.
With recent results not favouring the progress of the team on the field, he was questioned and he made known the flaws of the team including his areas of dissatisfaction to take walk.
Many say, the board felt disrespected but was willing to work with him. He insisted questioning his work amounted to interference.
As stated earlier, it is unclear if he is headed to Tanzania or he will return to South Africa where he managed Orlando Pirates.
Papic was appointed Hearts' Coach on December 1, 2020. He took charge of ten matches which resulted in wins over Dreams FC, Bechem United, King Faisal, and Eleven Wonders, but he has failed to pick a win in his last four matches against Medeama, Berekum Chelsea, Great Olympics and Legon Cities.
