Nigerian social media stars, Ikorodu Bois and Emmanuella have been nominated for the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
They were nominated under Favourite African Social Media Star category alongside Bonang from South Africa.
Other nominees include Ghetto Kids from Uganda, Elsa Majimbo from Kenya and Wain Van Den Berg South Africa.
Emmanuella took to Instagram to share the news.
Ikorodu Bois, the group that recreates and mimics multi-million dollar music videos, Hollywood movie trailers and epic pictures took to social media to express their excitement and urged fans to vote for them.

In 2019 Ikorodu Bois went viral after releasing remaking some trailers including Extraction 2 which features Chris Hemsworth.
They got praise from the actor and producers of the film, the Russo Brothers.
They also remade the trailer for Netflix's series Money Heist and got recognised by Álvaro Morte who played the Professor.
After actor Chadwick passed away in 2020, the recreated some of his scenes from the 2018 blockbuster Black Panther.

The group has also recreated videos featuring celebrities such as Roddy Rich, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Zlatan, Funke Akindele, Wizkid and Davido.

After going viral in 2020, Netflix gifted the group some filming equipment including high-tech cameras, boom microphones, tripods, voice recorders and an Apple iMac computer.
Nigerian born international filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan awarded the Ikorodu Bois a full scholarship into KAP Film & Television Academy.
He also gave them an exclusive mentorship program which will see the kids under his wing train for higher opportunities.
