Kwadwo Obeng Junior scored a late equaliser as Hearts of Oak drew 1-1 with Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday night.
The match was played without fans following a ban on Hearts for breaching coronavirus safety protocols in their derby against Great Olympics.
Hearts, who came into the game on the back of a two-game losing streak, had the first real opportunity to score inside five minutes.
Obeng Junior's effort missed the target narrowly and Richard Attah was forced to make a save at the other end moments later.
The Phobians were awarded a penalty in the 15th minute following a push on Razak. Unfortunately, Manaf Umar let Legon Cities off the hook by sending his effort wide from 12 yards.
Four minutes later, Hearts were made to pay for their miss by Jonah Attuquaye who skipped past Nuru Sulley and Richard Attah to break the deadlock.
In the second half, Legon Cities held on but did not do enough to secure all three points.
Obeng Junior made amends for his earlier miss by scoring in the 86th minute to earn a point for Hearts.
Legon Cities have won two of their last five games and moved up to 13th on the log. Hearts, in comparison, have lost two of their last five matches and are currently 9th.
