Government has assured banana exporters of resolving the trade issues with the United Kingdom as customers in Britain express major concern in the delay of supply.
The UK has been considering new trade laws, post Brexit. Already, some UK firms have been rejecting imports from Ghana because of the stiffer policy from the UK authority.
But speaking to Joy Business, Administrative and Corporate Affairs Manager of Golden Exotics, George Kporye said government officials have been meeting the UK counterparts to resolve the issue though it wants the resolution as quickly as possible to prevent dire consequences.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Trade and Industry announcing a new Interim Ghana-UK Trade Partnership Agreement. However, the statement was not specific about when the agreement would commence.
