Filmmaker Leila Djansi says she does not understand why there are duplicitous commentary about the life of late former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Taking to her Facebook page she stated that some of the commentary she has heard mentions "J.J. Rawlings had a good and bad side."
She stated that it is unhealthy for people to refer to those who enforce discipline, integrity, hard work and selflessness as difficult or bad.
"Rawlings SAVED Ghana from hunger and all the corruption wrought under Acheampong. He punished the guilty. If that’s what made him bad, well..."
She described the late stateman as rare and a dreamy god.
Ms Djansi wrote that the country will never have "a legend" like the late former President ever again.
"Every plane that flew above our heads brought the chant “JJ Rawlings” from kids...Rest Well! You will be missed and never forgotten!"
I’m not sure I understand or appreciate some of the Ghanaian journalists and their duplicitous commentary. JJ Rawlings...
