A retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana has praised JoyNews for what he describes as bold and fearless journalism.
For Justice William Atuguba, the exposure of wrongdoing in the society by JoyNews gives him hope of a better future for the country.
“Of late I saw that JoyNews have been very daring, trying to find out the truth and present it to the public as it is, that has been my impression of recent times and that is what is necessary and good for Ghana and Africa as a whole.”
Justice Atuguba, who presided over the 2013 election petition hearing brought by the then opposition leader, Nana Akufo-Addo against the declaration of John Mahama as the winner of the 2012 presidential elections has followed JoyNews to date.
He stated that the station's coverage of the polls set it apart from competitors.
“I started appreciating JoyNews in 2013, late December. I was with my daughter and my son in the US and brother-in-law when the results starting trickling in.
"I was following it and it was only JoyNews that could come through the coverage,” he added.
