Six more persons have died as the novel coronavirus as the country records another grim milestones as far as case management is concerned.
This brings the death toll to 358 as the number of active cases crossed the 2000 mark for the second time since the outbreak hit the country, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The detection of 366 new infections takes the total number of active cases to 2,174 as of January 16, 2021.
GHS data further indicate that 36 patients are currently in at a critical stage with 98 others in severe conditions.
Out of a cumulative total of 58,431 confirmed cases, 55,899 have either recovered or been discharged.
