The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold (CACM) is calling for the immediate release of artiste manager Bulldog from the custody of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
In a statement issued dated January 12, the group expressed surprise over the swift manner with which Bulldog was picked up.
"Our attention has been drawn to the arrest of Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog in the showbiz industry due to his comments made on UTV on 9th January, 2021 in relation to Menzgold saga."
"We roundly condemn the Gestapo-style in which the entertainment icon was arrested," they stated.
Artiste manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog has allegedly been arrested by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) for threatening President Akufo-Addo on live television.
According to the group, the comments made by Bulldog is "borne out of many months of leadership neglect which has resulted in the loss of lives."
The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold is of the view that his actions should have reached out to the compassion of leadership and not warrant an arrest or detention.
However, the group admitted that the comments made by Bulldog could have been expressed in a different manner which would not have led to his arrest.
