President Akufo- Addo has made a humble plea to Ghanaians to unite in championing development for the country.
"To my fellow Ghanaians, I invite all of you to join in the exciting business of developing our country," he said during his inaugural address as President on Thursday.
According to him, Ghana has undying chances and ideas in making the nation a great one.
But these can only be attained when there is love amongst Ghanaians, President Akufo-Addo noted.
"There are endless opportunities if we remain united. We should leave legacies of achievements and realities to our children and their children," he added.
The President also promised to work with the newly-elected Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, in the governance of the country.
"I am confident that both of us will be guided in our relationship by the supreme interest of our people in ensuring good governance in the ordering of the affairs of state.
"I want to assure you of my wholehearted determination to work with you to advance the peace, progress and prosperity of the Ghanaian people," he explained.
