Ecobank Ghana is celebrating its customers for remaining loyal and dedicated to the bank with a loyalty programme that will see customers [individual or merchant] of the bank taking home GH¢3,000 for the next 30 days.
The bank will also be rewarding its social media followers with GH¢300 cedis every day for the next 30 days.
The loyalty promotion is part of its 30 years anniversary celebrations which has seen the financial intermediary becoming the biggest and leading bank in the country.
“We would be running it [loyalty promotion] here with you Joy FM during the the Drive Time programme every day, Saturday on the ‘Home Affairs’ and on Sundays on the ‘Reason with Jesus’. So throughout the week, from Mondays to Sundays during the promotion period, we’ll be giving out GH¢3000 cash daily to the winners”, Kingsley Adofo-Addo, Head of SME Banking at Ecobank Ghana disclosed.
“And how would one access this? You would just need to have the Ecobank Mobile App, if you’re not an existing customer we encourage you to download the app on google store or on apple store. You can also dial the shortcode *770# and go through the prompt and open an account to realize these services. As a merchant, you can also avail your QR Code to your customers and ensure that you receive instant payment anywhere, everywhere", he explained further.
Regional Head of Anglophone West Africa, Henry Ampong said Ecobank Ghana will continue to position itself as the corporate and innovative bank of choice with exciting and convenient products and services that will delight customers.
According to him, the bank has always been the first in the industry to launch an initiative, citing the introduction of the Ecobank Mobile App in 2006 which today has 1.6 million registered users.
“Other platforms available to our business clients are the Ecobank Omni Lite and Ecobank Omni Plus which have been deployed to support the banking needs of our clients either as SMEs, corporate, government institutions or international organizations”, he further said.
Continuing, Mr. Ampong mentioned that “with 30 years of stellar performance behind us, we’re using this opportunity to assure our customers both existing and potential that they should look forward to more products bundled with efficient customer service and cost mitigation in the years ahead”.
Ecobank’s financial performance robust
Ecobank Ghana recorded a strong financial performance for the third quarter of this year as profit went up by 16% to GH¢381 million despite covid-19 pandemic, according to its 2020 Third Quarter Results.
The bank’s Return on Equity- an important profitability indicator for shareholders- also grew by 28%.
Ecobank which is Ghana’s biggest bank according to the 2020 PwC Banking Survey benefited tremendously from non-funded transactions during the period, as non-funded income contributed 26% to total income.
