Ghana coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has decided against complaining about his unpaid salaries.
Akonnor, 46, was appointed in January following the departure of Kwesi Appiah.
He has been in charge for 12 months but is yet to receive any of his reported $25,000 per month remuneration.
But speaking in a recent interview, the former Black Stars captain stated that he will keep enduring without complaint.
“Every Ghanaian wants to work and get paid. However, he is a Ghanaian and it is relevant for him to keep enduring without complaint, hoping to be paid one day,” Akonnor said on Kessben FM.
Black Stars have recorded two wins and two losses under Akonnor's guidance so far.
But Akonnor is confident the team will improve as he aims to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana, after qualifying for three straight tournaments between 2006 and 2014, failed to make it to Russia in 2018.
“My aim is to help Ghana qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which would be staged in Qatar.
“I want to qualify for the nation for the next FIFA World Cup competition but that is not all as I would like and want my team to do well and make the country proud and everyone happy," he said.
Black Stars will commence their qualifiers in June 2021.
Akonnor also reiterated his desire to lead Ghana to win their first Africa Cup of Nations title since 1982.
Black Stars are close to securing qualification to the next tournament in 2022. They need one point from remaining two games to qualify for Cameroon.
