Some traders of the Kantamanto market have appealed for Government’s support over the loss of their properties in the fire.
This comes after the outbreak of fire at the Kantamanto market in the late hours of Monday, December 14.
Speaking with Joy News' Reporter, Benjamin Akakpo, some of the traders lamented over the loss of their properties ranging from sewing machines, knitting machines, school uniforms and clothes.
“I went for loan for about GH₵ 60,000, I have lost everything. I had a contract to sew school uniforms, people have come for uniforms of 30 to 50 bundles and working on them,”
"I have lost things I have sewn, my sewing machine and two knitting machines” the traders stated.
Another trader, Kweku Arhin said he is hopeful that government will come to their aid as there is nothing he can do about the current situation.
A trader who identified himself as Ogboro also called for the government's aid to help them get back on their feet.
