The presidential candidate of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as ‘Osofo Kyiri Abosom’, “has just called President Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on his victory in the election.”

This was revealed by the Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin on his Facebook page.

Osofo Kyiri Abasom is one of the 12 candidates contesting for the presidency.

Apart from him, the candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Dr. Herbert Henry Lartey has also called President Nana Akufo-Addo to concede and congratulate him.

The Presidential Candidate of the GCPP, Dr Henry Herbert Lartey, has just called President Akufo-Addo to concede defeat and congratulate him on his victory in the presidential election.

This action has also been replicated by the presidential candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana, Mr. Percival Kofi Akpaloo.

The presidential candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Mr Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has just called on President Akufo-Addo at his Nima residence to congratulate him on winning the 2020 presidential election.

Again, Madam Akua Donkor, presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party, also visited the Nima residence of President Akufo-Addo to congratulate him.

This leaves 8 presidential candidates including the NDC's John Dramani Mahama and the NDP's Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.

Meanwhile, Joy News has projected that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will win the tightly contested 2020 election.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate polled 6,640,809 which gives him 51.03% after tabulating 270 constituencies out of 275 constituencies.

His closest contender, John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) polled 6,121, 817 which gives him 47.29% of the votes cast.

Other parties together including rejected votes add up to 181,776 votes representing 1.40%.
