Peloton Bike+
Peloton’s bike is built for taking spin classes at home and with the Bike+ it’s adding a new “Auto-Follow” resistance system that scales based on your target metrics and adjusts based on what your instructor is telling you to do.
A rotating HD screen has been added to make it easier to switch between cycling and floor-based workouts and it now plays nice with the Apple
Echelon Connect EX3
Echelon is a cheaper route to joining in live or on-demand fitness classes when paired with a tablet.
Available in red or limited-edition black, its steel frame hosts a heavy 13kg flywheel and offers 32 levels of magnetic resistance.
The competition-style seat should make long rides comfortable, with pedals that feature adjustable toe cages to keep feet locked into power through spin sessions.
Yoleo
This indoor bike uses a magnetic resistance system to build up those cycling legs with an LCD monitor up front serving real-time stats, including distance, speed and heart rate via an additional sensor.
The seat and handlebars are adjustable to provide comfortable riding foundations, while its wide belt ensures you’re not making a big noise when it’s time to get on the bike.
NoHrd
WaterRower’s bike wraps its steel frame up in solid wood, available in a range of different colours. That’s matched up with a competition-style seat and handlebar design that offers multiple gripping options. To ensure it’s not all style over substance, it uses magnetic brake technology to help deliver that satisfying level of resistance and will work with a companion app to track training and riding progress.
Life Fitness IC6 Group Exercise Bike
The IC6 is built from steel and features a “Q Factor” design that replicates the feel of jumping on a road bike.
It pairs up a magnetic resistance system and aluminium flywheel at the rear with a belt drivetrain to offer a smooth riding experience and keep noise to a minimum.
There’s room for a power meter to measure effort in watts, while the self-powered computer upfront can be paired with apps to ramp up the training data.
NordicTrack Commercial S10i iFitstudio
NordicTrack gives you access to a library of on-demand workouts, where changes in resistance and incline are automatically controlled by trainers to make sure you’re feeling the full benefits.
The ten-inch touchscreen display can be rotated when you need to exercise off the bike and it works with Google Maps to give freedom to ride anywhere when you want a break from the workout world.
Wattbike Atom Next Generation
The Atom is built for serious cyclists who want that feel of the road when you don’t want to head outside.
The next generation Atom adds new cadence and crank sensors to give you a bigger data hit post-ride.
It’s also added an electromagnetic resistance system to offer better resistance changes when synced up with virtual training apps such as Zwift.
Wattbike also includes its own training app to build bike fitness and pairs with heart rate monitors to complete the pretty comprehensive connected training experience.
Concept2 Bikeerg
Concept2 is perhaps best known for its rowing machines, but it also builds bikes.
This one pairs up the flywheel used in its rowers with a resistance damper to give that more authentic feel of switching up gears.
The performance monitor is powered by your pedalling and can be paired up with sensors such as heart rate monitors.
It also works with Concept2’s app and other major training apps, while the ability to drop in your own seat and pedals ensure it’s a very personal riding experience.
Wahoo Kickr
Wahoo’s smart bike is another option for those who take this cycling business seriously.
It uses electromagnetic and enhanced motor resistance systems alongside a 6kg flywheel to offer a responsive and realistic ride.
There’s connectivity support in abundance, letting you pair up additional sensors, including Wahoo’s own, so it can be used with platforms such as Zwift.
Virtual gears can be matched to the ones you use on your road bike, while adjustable points, including the saddle and frame height, means it’s built to offer a familiar riding fit.
