The death of former President Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings has dealt Ghanaians a hefty blow.
President Akufo-Addo shortly after his demise announced seven days of national mourning in his honour after he directed that all flags fly at half-mast.
As the period of mourning begins today, tributes continue pour in all over the world for the late statesman.
All the major political parties have also suspended their political campaigns to that effect.
