Egyptian Football Association board member Mahmoud Al Shamy has revealed the country's FA is ready to accept all the terms of Frenchman Herve Renard to take up the job of managing the Pharaohs.
Egypt are still searching for a new coach after they axed Shawky Gharib in December following his failure to lead the Pharaohs to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
"The EFA announced on Saturday they have reached a decision on their five-man shortlist and they will decide about the new coach this week," El Shamy said.
"We have five names, we talked with only three. We are not looking seriously at the other two names.
"We talked with Herve Renard, Alain Giresse and George Leekens. Soon we will name our head coach.
"Renard has a penalty clause in his contract with Ivory Coast and we are ready to pay that and are also ready to accept all his requirements. He is the kind of coach we need for our national team."
The Frenchman said last week that no official of the Egyptian FA has spoken with him.
