One of Nigeria's media mogul Linda Ikeji has promised to support some small scale businesses that were looted and destroyed in Lagos amid the EndSARS protests.
Taking to Instagram, the blogger stated that she is willing to help all female entrepreneurs, whose businesses have suffered, to get their sources of livelihood back up and running.
"...it breaks my heart to see women who have strived for years to stay afloat lose their businesses overnight," Linda Ikeji wrote explaining why she took that step.
She explained that with the effects of Covid-19 still lingering, it will be "unbearable" to watch these women struggle to pick themselves up alone.
Linda Ikeji urged affected women to send her a mail with videos and pictures as their proof.
"I have already set up a team to crosscheck all claims as we receive your emails. Once we confirm you’re truly a victim, I will do what I can and get others to also help. We are all in this together. We have to be our brothers keepers."
Linda Ikeji promised to also get in touch with her celebrity friends to also help some of these businesses.
"When all these dies down and it’s safe to move around, I and a few other female entrepreneurs will pay visits to women who lost their businesses.. and give hugs…among other things!"
