Five-time winners Presec, Legon battled it out with Aggrey Memorial and Sunyani SHS for a slot in the quarter-final stage.
The only school to have ever won the contest back-to-back in the years 2008 and 2009, Presec, Legon were the giants of the day's contest.
Represented by Benjamin Quansah Nketsiah and Gakpetor Kekeli the final year students lived up to expectation as they won the contest with a wide margin, showing Aggrey Memorial and Sunyani SHS the exit.

The 'Odadeɛ' boys scored an impressive 23 points in round one, leaving Aggrey Memorial SHS with 14 points and Sunyani SHS with 11 points.

They maintained the lead in the second round, increasing their tally to 36 points, while Aggrey Memorial SHS and Sunyani SHS had 18 points and 13 points respectively.

The High schools were unable to solve the question posed in the 'Problem of the Day' and after some consultation, each school was awarded 1 point each in round 3.

Unperturbed by the challenge in the round before, Presec, Legon increased their tally to 50 points, maintaining their lead.
Aggrey Memorial SHS and Sunyani SHS, however, stood at 32 points and 27 points respectively, on the scoreboard.

With three correct answers for the riddle round, Presec, Legon gained 9 additional points, securing a spot in the semi-quarter final stage of the contest with 59 points.
Neither Aggrey Memorial SHS nor Sunyani SHS were able to earn a point in that round and were eliminated, leaving the competition with 32 and 27 points.
Presec, Legon hope to celebrate a 6th trophy this year.
