President Nana Akufo Addo is optimistic that he will garner over 95 per cent of votes cast on December 7 in the Asante Akyem districts of the Ashanti Region.
Speaking at a durbar held in Juaso as part of his tour in the region, President Akufo-Addo believes his administration’s performance in the past three and half years will guarantee him a win in the December polls.
He appealed to community leaders and electorates to reciprocate the developmental projects done in the region by voting to retain his administration in government.
The second day of the three-day tour saw the President and his team inspect ongoing roads in the Asante Akyem South districts, the fertiliser and pork factories in the area.
He also commissioned a 6-unit school at Apramso and a dormitory at Konongo Odumase Senior High School.
The President also promised to fix all the deplorable road in the district in his second tenure.
Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, on his part, reminded residents of the plight they had to endure under the incompetent leadership of former President John Mahama.
He, therefore, urged them to maintain the Akufo-Addo-led government for more infrastructural and economic development.
He laid emphasis on the effect of the Free Senior High School policy that has relieved parents and guardians the burden of financing their child school fees, and also increased the rate of literacy in the country.
