Songstress Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey, affectionately referred to by fans as Kaakie, says she is on a break from producing music.
According to the UK licensed nurse, she is dedicated to the profession and her zeal to assist mothers and babies in the hospital exceeds the drive to produce music.
In an interview with host of Joy FM's Drive Time show, Lexis Bill on Tuesday, the ‘Too Much’ hitmaker said maternal mortality breaks her heart.
“I really want to feel fulfilled, and I really want to help. So I’m looking forward to acquiring all the knowledge and skills necessary for the job,” she said.
The 2013 VGMA Raggae and Dancehall artiste of the year also disclosed her intention to secure a license to practice nursing in the U.S where she stays with her husband.
Reminiscing her time as a musician, she maintained that she has no regrets stating it did not affect her dreams of becoming a nurse.
She seized the opportunity to thank Ghanaians for their love and support during her time in the music industry.
The 29-year-old further dismissed rumors that she has given birth.
