The Ho West MP has reiterated the commitment of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to making sure that trained teachers do not have to write a licensure examination to enable them to gain employment.
Emmanuel Kwesi Bedzrah said the requirement of writing license examination by teachers was not necessary as teachers have already been trained while in college
He was speaking at the commissioning of the first ever Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) at the EP College of Education at Amedzope
The Ho West MP was certain that the NDC would make the promise a reality should Ghanaians give them the mandate to govern the country.
Mr Bedzrah also noted that if the party comes to power, teachers would no longer have to compulsorily serve the country upon completion of school.
"Why should trained teachers have to write license examination and even have to go through National Service again when automatically, they are already qualified?”
“The NDC administration, if we win will remove all these things and allow teachers to have some peace of mind to impact knowledge," he said.
Mr Bedzrah noted that it was necessary for Ghanaians to give the NDC another chance to right the wrongs and bring changes to the country, especially in the education sector.
He said the NDC did so much in regards to education when in government and would do even more if given the chance to rule the country once again.
"Just give the NDC the chance to prove to you that we have the interest of you teachers at heart," Mr Bedzrah appealed.
