Former President John Mahama has commiserated with the family and legal fraternity over the murder of law professor of the University of Ghana lecturer, Emmanuel Yaw Benneh.
Prof Benneh was murdered in his Adjirgano residence in Accra on Thursday. His mutilated body was found on Saturday morning.
According to the deceased's househelp, his legs and arms were tied and his body was found between his living room and bedroom.
The NDC flagbearer in a Facebook post said he was devastated by the news and has charged government as well as the law enforcement agencies to take swift actions to bring the perpetrators to book.
"Govt & the security agencies must take swift action to investigate & apprehend the perpetrator(s) of this heinous crime. We also need to urgently guarantee the safety & security of our citizenry," he said.
