Access Bank has launched a new campaign, Perfect Start, aimed at improving financial literacy among children.
This initiative follows the bank’s drive to change the operations in the banking sector, one of its long-term goals, by ensuring financial inclusion from all walks of life including children below 18.
‘Perfect Start’ is an initiative implemented on the back of Access Bank’s kid’s savings account, Early Savers.
The campaign which commenced on September 1, 2020, aims at investing in the dreams of children while providing an avenue to learn, discover and groom their talents.
The Managing Director, Olumide Olatunji, introduced the ‘Perfect Start’ promo which is the first of its kind in the sector to the public.
According to him, his outfit is enthused about helping people achieve their dreams even in adversity hence providing its customers a comparative advantage over others.
“We believe that no matter how small or audacious a dream might seem, it can still come true. All one needs is encouragement and the right resources to boost their confidence and pursue that dream. This promo is therefore guaranteed to excite everyone and give our future leaders an advantage over the others.”
The Sector Head of Retail Banking at Access Bank, Mrs. Yvonne Antonio, elucidated the campaign’s key features.
“The ‘Perfect Start’ promo is a digital campaign and aimed at inculcating the culture of savings and showcasing the talent of children from the ages of 5 to 17 in a fun, educative and interactive way.
"The promo is also designed to support parents and/or guardians with funds to help realise the dreams of their children or wards through weekly, monthly and mega-cash rewards.”
The promo which is expected to run for a period of six months is open to both new and existing customers of Access Bank and to participate, customers will have to open an Early Savers Account with a minimum deposit of ¢200 to qualify to win weekly and monthly rewards.
Some of the prizes available for over 1,000 customers weekly and monthly include cash rewards of over ¢100,000 and other prizes such as PS5 tablets, among others.
This promo is wholly based on participation in activities and earning points. Here are some of the activities a child can participate in to improve their financial literacy skills and showcase their talents.
Access Got Talent: This is a platform for your child to display his/her talents in a monthly contest to win cash rewards.
