The Tamale North Constituency MP says government must come out with answers to salient questions regarding the Agyapa Minerals Royalties deal.
Alhassan Suhuyini said citizens have demanded answers to critical questions on the deal yet government has failed to provide answers to these questions.
He also said Minority in Parliament has "requested for incorporation documents, raised questions on the projected cash flow and returns of investment on the deal, the prospectus that formed the basis of the ownership of companies involved in the deal."
But the MP said answers to all these questions have still not been provided.
The Agyapa Royalties deal is still battling opposition from the Minority and Civil Society groups.
After Parliament approved the deal, these parties have demanded the suspension of the deal as they say processes involved lack transparency.
At a press briefing held in Accra Tuesday, the CSOs alleged that although efforts are being made to justify the deal by the current government, numerous concerns are yet to be addressed.
Speaking on the Super Morning Show, Mr. Suhuyini also insisted there are still questions about the deal that needs answers, however, government has decided to be economical with the answers to these questions.
This, he adds raises questions about the credibility of the deal.
"We asked a very fundamental question in relation to the guarantee; so to speak, if gold prices do not change, how much will we get as far as Mineral Royalties is concerned, and the gamble that we are going to put that money into.
"This is why the projected cash flows and returns on investments was a requisite document that should have guided this transaction," he said.
And this is why "many well-meaning Ghanaians are calling for the right things to be done. Let the deal be suspended so that we can get back to the drawing board and get all the answers fro the questions that are being raised addressed."
