Nine Ghanaian women have been selected as part of the 100 Most Influential African Women for the year 2020.
The notable personalities from Ghana featured in this year’s list are spread across all sector of life including Business Leadership, Philanthropy, Education, Entrepreneurship, Governance and Media.
These persons are:
Executive Director of the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WASCI) - Nana Asantewa Afadzinu
Regional Head of the IBM West, East & North Africa - Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh
Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of Morgan Stanley - Lucy Quist
CEO of StanChart Ghana - Mansa Nettey
CEO of Vodafone Ghana - Patricia Obo-Nai.
Chancellor of the Women’s University in Africa - Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. The academic is also the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama.
Also on the list is the Chief Executive Officer of the Stratcomm Africa, Esther Cobbah.

Founder of Anita Erskine Media, Anita Erskine
The list compiled by PR & Rating firm, Avance Media is an annual publication aimed at highlighting and celebrating the astounding accomplishments of 100 women from Africa.
This follows their quest to inspire the next generation of women in Africa who are passionate about leading change and challenging the status quo.
Nigeria recorded the highest number of women on the list with 20 people, followed by South Africa and Ghana.
