Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the Akufo-Addo administration has fulfilled most of its 2016 campaign promises, therefore, must be given a second term.
Freddie Blay in his address at the launch of the NPP manifesto on Saturday said the party in its 2016 manifesto pledged to fix the economy and other sectors that were marred under the John Mahama administration and have done just that.
According to him, the ‘messy’ state that was inherited by the NPP in 2017 has been 'tidied' to promote national development and transform the lives of the citizenry.
“I will say in humility but confidence that within the three and half years we have kept our faith to the people of Ghana at a great extent.
“Fulfilling our promises largely all over the world and across the country it can be seen the extent at which the economy has been repaired out of its messy situation that we found it,” he stated.
Touching on the manifesto that was about to be launched, Mr Blay said the 2020 manifesto is to continue the good works of the incumbent government.
He noted that “The new manifesto will protect progress, transform Ghana for all is what we stand to offer to the people of Ghana ones again.”
“It is an important indication of how ready the NPP was in 2016 and it is now and will be in the future to taking and tackling the economy and advancing good governance and development for this country.”
The NPP Chairman then urged Ghanaians to give his party a second chance come December 7 to continue their “good works”.
