Adom TV’s Sister Sandy has been crowned the Personality of the Year at the just ended Scream Awards held in Nigeria.
The entertainment journalist beat nine others including Hitz FM's Doreen Avio and Nigerian actress Nancy Isime to win the award.
Taking to Instagram, Sister Sandy stated she was grateful, her journey, which has been full of ups and downs, is being recognised.
“To think I am just an ordinary girl from #Oseikrom (Ghana) with a dream, and to be receiving this award is truly an honour,” she wrote.
Sister Sandy added that she was thankful to the organisers for creating a platform that celebrates hardwork and excellence.
“I would also like to thank @adomtv , #GuyestFam, colleagues, industry players, my family and friends for believing in me. I wouldn’t be here without your overwhelming support - this award is for you all.”
