Ghana continues to make significant progress in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic as the country’s active cases have again dropped to 1,847 from a previous 1,906 on Friday, August 14.
On its dedicated website, the Ghana Health Service said out of the active cases, 6 people are in critical condition, with 3 on ventilators and another 16 in severe condition.
The latest update by the country’s health management body also confirmed 121 new cases of infection, bringing the accumulated cases to 42,653.
There has also been some 8 new deaths recorded including a 9-week old baby with no cormobility.
This brings the total number of deaths to 239 while recoveries/Discharge stands at 40,567.
