Joy FM's comedy programme, Weekend City Show, has won the Best Radio Comedy Program of the Year award at the just-ended Comedy and Poetry Awards show.
The event held last Saturday virtually honoured and celebrated the creativity of people who are contributing enormously to the craft of comedy and poetry.
Weekend City Show airs on Joy 99.7 FM every Saturday from 7:30 am to 9 am. It is hosted by celebrated radio presenter Sammy Forson who is joined by regular guests Rubbin Adarkwa and chief drummer of the Black Stars, Joseph Langabel.
Reacting to the news, Rubbin Adarkwa said he appreciates the fact that the show and its talent are recognised.
He told Sammy Forson that he has received testimonies from people about how much they enjoy listening.
Also winning awards were rapper Strongman who took home the Best Lyrical Album/EP of the Year for his work S.T.N, Eno Barony who won the Best Female Lyricist of the Year and Clemento Suarez with the Best Comedy Stage Act of the Year.
