Executive Director for Education Watch Africa has said that providing students with past questions limits them from adequately preparing for their final year exams.
Kofi Asare believes students recently do not study further because they solely depend on past questions which pose a challenge to education in the country.
"And so the students are now learning for an examination: they're learning past questions instead of actually learning subjects and educating themselves and that is a challenge I think past questions are breeding," he said on the Joy FM Super Morning Show.
His comments come after some students accused President Akufo-Addo of deceiving them with the past questions in the ongoing WASSCE examination.
In a viral video, the students threatened not to vote for the president because of that.
Mr Asare said the situation of students waiting on past questions and leaked questions is disappointing.
He advised student tuned their focus on going by their syllabus and not solely depending on solving past questions.
He said education is to equip students with knowledge and skills but with past questions, students only study to write their exams.
