Actress Yvonne Nelson has applauded the selection of Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as John Mahama’s running mate for 2020 elections.
The former Education Minister's name was disclosed to the public on Monday at a meeting of the NDC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) at the party’s headquarters.
Joining millions both home and abroad to laud her appointment and which her well, the actress said as much as the academic's selection may be strategic, women can deliver and serve people right.
“I love this,” she wrote urging the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC)to put the interest of the people first when serving the country.
Yvonne Nelson added, “We only need leaders who will put GHANAIANS first, do this and don't be carried away like they all do when they win. All the best.”
