Since the suspension of 2019/20 Ghana football season due to COVID-19 pandemic, there have been varied opinions on what is best for the country's domestic game.
King Faisal led the way with calls for the season to be canceled, but many others including the Ghana FA were reluctant to annul the campaign as reported by Joy Sports in May.
The GFA was hopeful government would give them an opportunity to continue the season, but the President extended restrictions on contact sports to July 31.
This move, many say, forced the football governing body to cancel the football season, and there have been reactions from the community.
Whereas majority of the football populace, including Executive Council member, Frederick Acheampong insists there was no alternative better than cancellation, Sekondi Hasaacas seem to disagree with the move because they were "doing well".
They are demanding for a compensation from the FA.

The GFA have lost $2.2 million following their decision to annul the season according Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum.
There will be no demotion and promotion and all records erased, however, fines imposed on clubs and players for misdemeanor during the campaign shall be fulfiled.
Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold will represent Ghana in the next edition of CAF Inter-club football competitions, CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.
