Unilever Ghana has extended more support to institutions, communities, and organisations through its further donation of its products.
This support is to assist the institutions' nutritional and hygienic needs.
Beneficiaries of the donations includes the Zebilla District Hospital, Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Industrial and Commercial Workers Union, The First Infantry Battalion and many others.
Some of the products donated include Key soap, Sunlight, Pepsodent, Lipton Tea and Vim.
Henry Herbert Malm, Head of Communications and Sustainability Lead of Unilever Ghana, said the company’s priority is to support the everyday hygiene and nutrition needs of Ghanaians with its well-known brands.
On behalf of the company, he implored all citizens to observe the WHO protocols put in place to prevent Covid-19.
"Unilever implores all Ghanaians to keep washing their hands under running water and sanitise their hands regularly, as well as wear their face mask always to help stem the spread of the pandemic," he said.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country in March this year, Unilever Ghana has also increased its awareness creation on how to curb the spread of the virus.
Being one of the largest producer and retailer of consumer goods the company has been advocating educational campaigns at lorry stations in the country to encourage handwashing habit.
Unilever Ghana was established in 1992 through the merger of UAC Ghana and Lever Brothers.
The company is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. Unilever produces some of the leading Home, Personal Care and Food products on the Ghana market.
