A construction company Fuzak Company Limited has donated 100 pieces of conference chairs worth ₵40,000 to the Northern Regional Police Command to aid in their work.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Company Husein Yushawu said for the Command to fully maintain law and order in the region, it needs a conducive atmosphere to operate, a reason for the gesture.
He said the donation is one of many they have extended to the regional command in the past, as part of the company’s social cooperate responsibility.
This he said would help the command in facilitating its operations in the region.
“This is our social cooperate responsibility to the regional police command and this is one of the many that we have done in the past for the command.” Husein Yushawu said.
The Northern Regional Police Commander COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga, who received the items, said the gesture will help equip the newly constructed conference hall, the first of its kind in the northern command.
“The region in the past never had a conference hall. This is the first time contributions has been made to put up one” he said.
He said with the donation of the conference wheel chairs, the command can confidently organize workshops and conferences for its personnel to upgrade their skills and knowledge which will go a long way in their policing.
He expressed his gratitude for the gesture, adding that the items will be properly taken care of and used for its intended purpose.
“We want to assure the donor and all gathered here that these very chairs that has been donated, we promise to take good care of them,” COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga said.
