Ten mothers at the frontline of the Covid-19 fight have been rewarded by Luv FM and Nhyira for their selfless commitment to humanity.
This was part of activities for this year’s Mother's Day celebration.
These women were among many who double as frontline workers nominated by listeners for the honour.
Five persons were selected on both stations from the pool of entries for recognition as the Most Outstanding Mothers.
The lucky winners include Dr Angela Doruwaa Frimpong, Co-ordinator at Kumasi South Isolation Centre; Dr Akosua Gyimah Omari-Sasu of the Kumasi Metro Director of Health who is also responsible for Home Care Management of Covid-19 Patients.
Dr (Mrs) Augustina Angelina Sylverken-Biologist and Medical Laboratory Scientist at Kumasi Center for Collaborative Research (KCCR) was also a winner.
Others are Gladys Brobbey, cleaner at Kumasi South Treatment Centre and Esther Afia Boakye, a supervisor at the National Ambulance Service responsible for First Point Care for Covid-19 patients at the Patients Compartment in the ambulance.
Speaking to Luv FM, the beneficiaries could not hide their excitement after receiving their prizes.
Events and Promotion Executive, James Hemans, said the station will continue celebrating the frontline workers in these difficult times.
