Government has addressed issues raised by the concerned farmers’ association through their identification of community challenges programme.
This is through the provision of rice slashers and threshers for rice farmers across the country.
The distribution of the machines which was in response to the Concerned Farmers’ Association’s Identification of Community Challenges programme seeks to alleviate some of the problems farmers, especially those involved in rice cultivation face in the course of their work.
The machines are expected to be handed over to the district assemblies for onward distribution to the farmers in the various rice farming communities across the country.
The machines would reduce the amount of rice grains lost on farmlands in the process of harvesting
