Afrobeats singer Mr. Drew is not happy with the ongoing lyrical feuds amongst some Ghanaian artists.
According to him, improving the Ghanaian music industry should be a focus and no need for lyrical feuds amongst artists within.
In a Twitter post dated May 12, 2020, the “Dw3” singer stated, “the music industry is bigger than all of us.. People are feeding their generation with just one hit song.. we dey here dey compete.”
Mr. Drew like some Ghanaian artists is unhappy with how constant colleague artists hit at each other in lyrical feuds.
“I see absolutely no point in the feuds going on, there is so much to do in our music and so much to learn towards improving it but here we are hitting at each other, it is so bad,” he told MyJoyOnline.
Mr. Drew also touched on his impending collaboration with Dancehall sensation Stonebwoy, “Ghana should just lookout for something big coming up by Stonebwoy and myself, trust me it will be great.”
Music lovers can recall that the Ghanaian music industry during and after the national lockdown period has been infiltrated with constant musical feuds between some celebrated Ghanaian artists.
Kicking off was that of rappers Sarkodie and Asem, producer Ball J and Sarkodie, Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, and the current one between female artists Sister Afia and Eno Barony, a feud which was joined later rapper Medikal.
