The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited has terminated the appointment of over 30 permanent staff.
In a letter sighted by Myjoyonline dated April 23, 2020 and signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the GTFC, Dr. Agnes Adu, the affected staff will cease to be workers of the Ghana Trade Fair company after May 31.
The letter didn’t specify any reason(s) for the termination of their contract.
According to the letter, the salaries of the employees for the months of April and May, will be paid to them.
They have, therefore, been requested to return all company property in their possession to the office of the CEO, by the close of business on May 15.
Their dismissal comes at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic is having a toll on the country’s economy and many employees are losing their jobs as a result.
