Unilever Ghana has donated detergents and other home and hygiene products worth over ¢30,000 to the Osu Children’s Home, Wednesday.
This forms part of its campaign to support institutions and individuals maintain decent sanitation standards as a measure to assist in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was also an opportunity for Unilever Ghana to service its longstanding partnerships with the orphanage and to pledge support for its effort at providing good care for inmates of the facility.
Henry Malm, Head of Communications and Sustainability of Unilever Ghana, said the leading manufacturer and distributors of quality home and hygiene also "sees this gesture as complementing government’s efforts at ensuring the maintenance of proper health and wellbeing habits amongst the citizenry, as it mobilizes the needed recourses to battle the Covid-19 pandemic."
Some of the products Unilever, which also produces beauty and personal care as well as food and refreshments goods included Sunlight, detergent powders; VIM scouring powder for cleaning surfaces; Domestos also a leading bleach product, BF and Key Brillant soap for laundry and Sunlight dishwashing liquid.
Mr Malm said the use of these products will guarantee good care for children who are our future leaders.
