GCB Bank has presented 100 veronica buckets and their accessories to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources as part of the Bank’s commitment towards the control of coronavirus in the country.
The Ministry will deploy the buckets to needy communities and areas of need identified by the Ministry.
The Head of Corporate Affairs Department of the Bank, Emmanuel Kojo Kwarteng, on behalf of Management, donated the buckets.
He explained that the donation forms parts of a coordinated programme under GCB’s corporate social responsibility objective of giving back to society.
Mr Kwarteng said the Management of the Bank under the leadership of Anselm Ray Sowah, the Managing Director, attaches a premium to societal needs hence the investment in health, environment, education and other social programmes designed to improve a lot of the people.
The Chief Director of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, Noah Tumfo received the items on behalf of the Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah.
He expressed the Ministry’s appreciation to the Board and Management of the Bank for supporting the Government’s efforts to contain COVID-19 pandemic.
“I wish to assure you that the buckets would be distributed to areas where they are most needed,” the Chief Director said.
